I don't have a lot of time right now but I love photography/video editing, and cleaning trash on the east bay bike path.
I just got my passport this month! I love traveling and can't wait to put it to use.
I'm very integrated in media culture. I love all movies, shows, music, and going to concerts. I volunteer at Comic Con every year. This is from a scene in 10 Things I Hate About You in Washington!
Hi Kristy, it’s nice to meet you! Your work with the Upward Bound program is incredibly meaningful, especially supporting high school students from underserved communities as they prepare to become first generation college students. As a first generation college graduate myself, reading about your work really resonated with me and made me wish a program like Upward Bound had been available to me when I first went to college.
ReplyDeleteI also love Comic Con and media culture, so it was fun reading about your volunteer experience. I went to Comic Con a couple of years ago and dressed as Sailor Moon, and it’s still one of my favorite memories. Hiking, kickboxing, and photography all sound like great outlets too. Congratulations on getting your passport, I hope you get to put it to good use soon. I’m looking forward to learning alongside you this semester.
Hello! apologize, I didn't realized you commented! I love the program and will not stop talking about it this semester. Volunteering is so much fun. I prefer the background knowledge and rarely go to enjoy it because I find being at the photo station my favorite. Applications open usually in July if you want to join! It's so cool you're close with celebrities. I used to listen to Jhene Aiko a lot as a teen and saw Willow perform at a Childish Gambino concert 2 years ago! Hope to see you this week in class!
